Independence Day

This year the Fourth of July week was really hot and muggy. Like REALLY humid. I felt like a little pilsbury dough boy water balloon and think I guzzled about 4 or 5 water bottles of water at each of the baseball games we went to. We went to a Nats game on the 3rd and had really good seats right behind the first base dugout. It was fun seeing all the players up close and Tom almost caught a t-shirt! They lost :( but it got close at the end. Then they had fireworks after the game but they didn't say where they would be shooting off from and it turned out we couldn't see them at all.

On the day of the Fourth we slept in, had waffles, and then met my Mom and Clark to go see the Lone Ranger. Baby L either really liked the movie or really hated it because he was going nuts in my stomach! After the movie we headed back to Falls Church and watched the firework show (which I think scared baby too because he was all over the place). We were really impressed with the show and will probably go again next year rather than trying to fight the crowds at the National Mall.

The next day I had to go to work. Boo! But we went to another Nats game after and this time they actually won! It was a fun week and much needed break from work and the regular routine.
