Sometimes I run into Hugh Jackman on my lunch break

Tom and I met for lunch at the Protein Bar in downtown DC back in October and guess who we saw?? :) Yes, Wolverine in the flesh. I've been in love with Hugh ever since I saw the movie Kate and Leopold (probably more than 10 years ago?) I never thought I'd be 8 months pregnant when I met my celebrity crush, but hey, I'll take what I can get!! Tom told him we were naming our baby Hugh and it made him laugh. Then he got his food, went outside and hopped on his bike and rode out of my life forever.

You can't really tell, but it is him! Who else would wear shades on a rainy day except for a legit celebrity?

Office baby shower

I love where I work. The biggest reason is because of the awesome people I work with.  My friend Sam and Monica both organized an office baby shower for me at the beginning of October. I managed to drag Tom along somehow, and the whole time he was there he gave me the "you-owe-me-one" look.  Especially when we walked in and it was all women and I abandoned him to go to the bathroom. (I had assured him before we went that he wouldn't be the only male there...but to my defense there was one guy that showed up later.)

Everyone spoiled Baby Lyman and he even got the stroller that we registered for! And I got my cute diaper bag which I was VERY excited about. One of the very best gifts was an ABC 123 scrapbook that everyone in the office made for me.  Each person decorated a page of a letter or a number - it was so cute! I can't wait to read through it with my little guy :)

Everybody was so generous and thoughtful. I'm grateful for the wonderful people I work with and for having a job where I can count my coworkers as friends.
