First week in the Big D

We're Texans now! I feel like I'm making my way back to my roots :) Tom started his new job in Dallas last week and so far so good with everything. The apartment is good. The kitchen is kind of tiny but going from one bathroom to two has been amazing. It's so nice to leave all the kids' bath crap in the tub and not have to clean it all up so we can shower.

We're only 6 miles from downtown which is great for Tom's commute! It's only about 15 or 20 min to drive during rush hour, but since parking is expensive he's started taking the train. That's what we're used to anyways coming from DC area, and that leaves me the car so it works out great. While he's been at work I've been exploring the area with the kids, mostly going to parks and going on walks by the ponds in our complex.

First time trying out the double stroller. They love it.

Watching the ducks at the ponds.
Found a cool park just a mile or two away.

I've never seen these until we moved out here. All the parks I've been to so far have them. Gray loved it!

Just woke up face.

Haha poor Gray sharing a girlie blanket.

We are close to everything out here. It kind of reminds me of where we lived in Tysons. And most importantly I've got a Trader Joes just 10 min. away. Very important. I also passed a Taco Cabana on my way to take Nat to the doctor and almost flipped a U right then and there. The tortillas were calling to me! (We've already eaten there twice)

Nat got her first tooth a few days after we arrived and the second one just popped through. She is such a happy and cute baby. Even through her teething she's been smiling. She loves to screech at the top of her lungs now, too.

First tooth
4 month doctor's visit. She was above 95th percentile for weight. no surprise there.

I'm trying to get Gray psyched about the potty so we can start all that fun stuff sometime this year. He is super sweet with Nat and loves to hug her, lay on her, and make her laugh. His favorite thing to do right now is count everything.

Has to have Nat right next to him.

Loves his train set.

Also loves anything to do with animals.

Telling me about the "tow" (cow) and "pee" (pig)

Poor Nat. She gets lots of rough lovin from him.

Saw a man walk by as I was trying to take his picture. He has inborn stranger danger.

Tom has been working hard and longer hours. I've been trying to finish my current work contract and my classes start this week. By the time he gets home, we eat dinner, bathe the kids and get them to bed we're pretty pooped! It'll be a busy next few months.
